CAST_Con la intención de dar a conocer la evolución estilística de la moda americana más allá del denim y el sportswear, el Fashion Institute of Technology de Nueva York organiza la exposición American Beauty: Aesthetics & Innovation in Fashion, inaugurada el pasado 6 noviembre. La muestra incluye cerca de 80 vestidos de 25 creadores míticos de la american couture que van desde los años 30 hasta la actualidad. La peculiaridad de esta expo es que cuenta con la participación del portal de venta online yoox.com, el cual abrió el mismo día 6 la venta vintage American Glamour con prendas de los protagonistas de la muestra, como James Galanos, Charles James, Bill Blass y Halston; así como algunos de los nombres contemporáneos que más están dando que hablar, como Isabel Toledo y Ralph Rucci. Además, desde yoox.com puedes acceder a un muy recomendable recorrido virtual por American Beauty que incluye video-entrevistas con personajes de renombre como Hamish Bowles y Charles Kleibacker. CAT_Amb la intenció de donar a conèixer l’evolució estilística de la moda americana més enllà del denim i l’sportswear, el Fashion Institute of Technology de Nova York organitza l’exposició American Beauty: Aesthetics & Innovation in Fashion, inaugurada el passat 6 de novembre. La mostra inclou prop de 80 vestits de 25 creadors mítics de l’american couture que van des dels anys 30 fins a l’actualitat. La peculiaritat d’aquesta expo és que compta amb la participació del portal de venda online yoox.com, el qual va obrir el mateix dia 6 la venda vintage American Glamour, amb peces dels protagonistes de la mostra, com James Galanos, Charles James, Bill Blass i Halston; així com alguns dels noms contemporanis que més sonen com Isabel Toledo i Ralph Rucci. ENG_American design is usually associated with denim and sportswear. In order to change this general perception and show the evolution of the craft of dressmaking in the United States, New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology presents the exhibition American Beauty: Aesthetics & Innovation in Fashion, open November 6th. It features approximately 80 garments by a highly selective group of designers, from the 30s until nowadays, such as James Galanos, Charles James, Halston, Isabel Toledo and Rodarte. The peculiarity of this exhibition is the participation of the online shop yoox.com, which offers, also from November 6th, the vintage sale American Glamour, with incredible pieces by the same names featured in the exhibition. If you can’t afford any of these, you still can enjoy the virtual tour presented at yoox.com, which includes video-interviews with personalities such as Hamish Bowles and Charles Kleibacker.
